

There are rooms for hire in each of our Meeting Houses. Go to the Local Meetings pages for information about where and what they are. Below are details about the rooms and facilities available and current hire charges for each Meeting.
Central Manchester Meeting House
South Manchester Meeting House
It may be possible for users of the large hall to hire the concourse for displays, serving refreshments, etc. at a charge of £12.00 per hour.
The whole Meeting House (excluding the Library) may be hired for a day (up to 8 hours)
at an inclusive rate of £1,125, or the Hall, concourse and Rooms 1-
There is no VAT on room hire
Weekends: On Saturdays we are normally open between 10am & 4pm. On Sundays we are normally open between 3pm and 7pm. Outside these core times there may be additional charges to cover the costs of opening the building for extra hours. Please ask for details.

Sale Meeting House
The Meeting Room and Upper Hall each has a maximum capacity of 50 persons. There is a small kitchen on the first floor with cups and saucers, plates, some cutlery, a refrigerator and kettle, but no cooking facilities. A kettle and cups and saucers are available in the Meeting Room. Storage is very limited and only considered for regular bookings, for which a charge is levied. A flipchart board is available.
Access for physically disabled. Hearing loop system. There is a ramp to gain access to the building but not to the upper floor. Toilets are on the ground floor and include one with wheelchair access and grab rails; this room also has a child's toilet and a baby changing shelf.
South Manchester Meeting House
We have rooms available for hire at the Meeting House, should you require a venue for a meeting, public talk, support group, staff away day, appointment with client, etc.
We are conveniently situated for motorists, being at the junction of Princess Parkway / Palatine Road / Sale Road / Wythenshawe Road in Northenden, right by the motorway network. There is a small car park to the rear of the building.
We have two rooms of the following approximate size:
Meeting Room 9m X 9m / 30 ft X 30 ft
Children’s Room 9m X 5m / 30 ft X 15 ft with a partition to divide it into two halves if required.
The rooms are carpeted, warm and comfortable and we have various tables and chairs which can be organised as you require.
A flip chart is available, plus other equipment by arrangement. There is a piano in Room 1.
We have a decently sized kitchen for making refreshments or more elaborate catering. Equipment includes a kettle, an urn, a fridge, a cooker, a microwave, pots, pans, crockery, etc.
The Meeting House is on one floor and all parts are fully wheelchair accessible. We also have a disabled toilet.
Room Hire charges
From January 1st 2008 all charges for a morning, afternoon or evening session will be:
£46.00 (whole premises)
£29.40 (meeting room)
£19.30 (children's room)
£17.50 (kitchen for cooking and meal preparation)
£5 (kitchen for light refreshments)
Commercial users ie. Firms having "away days", colleges etc are charged by the hour rather than the session. Their charges are:

Tea, coffee and biscuits, £1 a head.
There are discounts of up to 10% for regular users depending on circumstances.

Multiple Bookings: A discount of 10% on room hire charges is given to groups booking & paying for 20 or more meetings per year in advance.
Storage: Limited storage space is available for groups using the meeting house on a regular basis: a small locker (or equivalent) costs £15 pa.
N.B. All bookings are subject to our Terms and Conditions of room hire. These are displayed in each room and are available from the office. Room users should specifically note that confirmed bookings are not cancellable and that payment is normally required on or before the date on which the room is used. Our car park is not available for room users at any time.

We do not normally allow users to bring in outside catering, but refreshments can be provided at your meeting and buffet meals arranged. In the evenings and on Saturdays, you may hire our kitchen facilities for the preparation of your drinks. If you hire the whole building you may be able to bring in catering and use the kitchen for preparation of drinks and food.
We offer a friendly welcome, and aim to provide a safe environment for your group to meet in.
